Dear Camden Assembly Members and Friends:
We are again meeting outdoors and complying with the Santa Clara County Health Orders, at least through December 21. This means wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, social distancing, etc. Our Sunday offerings are being received by one usher standing at the exit with an offering bag ready for you to place your envelopes in the bag. Many others are mailing their offerings or hand delivering them to the church.
Christmas at Camden Assembly is NOT CANCELED, although it will be very different this year. Here is some information about our December calendar:
December 6, 10:45 a.m. – Communion Service. This service will be held outdoors with specially packaged communion elements.
December 13, 10:45 a.m. – Regular Morning Service (Christmas Program is canceled). This is the day we will be receiving a Christmas love offering for Pastor and Kathy Hyatt. That opportunity will be available for those who attend in person. However, for everyone’s convenience, we are also accepting contributions for the Pastor’s offering by mail or hand delivery to the church. Please make your check payable to “Camden Assembly of God” and label your envelope and/or check so that we will be sure that the Hyatt's receive your gift.
December 20, 10:45 a.m. – Christmas Service, presented by Pastor Hyatt and friends. This will be a unique Christmas experience held in the church quad. The traditional Christmas Carol Sing, scheduled for the evening of December 20, is canceled.
CHRISTMAS CARDS – The church Christmas Post Office will NOT be open this year due to social-distancing rules. Please distribute your cards by mail instead.
Pastor Hyatt is available by phone (408-371-3770 or 408-849-9334) for prayer or other needs, and can also be reached by email at email@example.com. The Sunday morning sermon (Sunday, 10:45 a.m.) and Wednesday night Bible study (Wednesday, 7:00 p.m.) will still be available, live streamed on the internet at the Camden Assembly of God Facebook site. You can also access them through the church website (camdenassemblyofgod.org/events).
In light of the developing situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to share with you some of the things we are doing as a church in order to stay in line with faith and wisdom. Santa Clara County has extended its order to “Shelter in Place” effective immediately and continuing until further notice. We are complying with this order.
Pastor Hyatt is available by phone (408-371-3770 or 408-849-9334) for prayer or other needs, and can also be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
